What Have We Already Achieved?
We have conducted a comprehensive sustainability assessment covering economic, ecological,
and social sustainability as well as resource efficiency. This assessment helped us identify areas
for improvement and implement concrete actions. We also completed a carbon footprint calculation
for 2022, which allowed us to identify the museum’s major emission sources and set emission
reduction targets.
Vehoniemi Automobile Museum has already implemented significant resource efficiency measures:
- All lighting has been replaced with energy-efficient LED lights.
- In 2023, we installed solar panels to reduce our energy consumption.
- Our café always uses reusable dishes, and we avoid unnecessary packaging.
- We recycle and reuse materials whenever possible.
Future Plans
Our next steps include reducing the amount of mixed waste and increasing recycling across all
areas. We will also continue to improve energy efficiency.
